11 days in Greece, say less
The way that this trip happened for me was a little bit phenomenal, if you ask me… at first I didn’t really believe it, but what I thought only happened in miracles, actually happened to me. I won a trip to Greece from an Instagram Giveaway for a group travel company. Sounds crazy, I know, but it happened — I lived it + here are some of the photos to show for it. The places I visited in Greece were: Athens, Mykonos, Naxos, Ios, Santorini
Where Athens was rich with history, I was really eager to get to the islands. Mykonos was first stop on the adventure. I stayed at a hotel called the Aegean Hospitality Group. They have beautiful villas which each have their own private plunge pool, breakfast is included in your stay + there is a shuttle that can take you to more popular areas if you didn’t have a car arranged.
Bars I suggest in Mykonos are: Astra, Scorpios, Negrita, and Moni
After three days in Mykonos, I was ready to hit a calmer island. Mykonos did not disappoint. Everything I thought it would be, it was all of that and more. The iconic white buildings and bright pink flowers, the sunsets, and late night dinners, all an unforgettable experience. Next island on the list was, Naxos.
Naxos was the chill I was after. The beaches again, were empty. I had the most amazing dinner in front of the beach at a place called Paradise Tavern. After Naxos, I set off on another ferry to Ios Island. Now, I had never heard of this island, so I didn’t really know what to expect, but Ios actually turned out to be one of my favorite islands from the trip because the water surrounding it was crystal clear to the point where you could actually open your eyes under water. It was magical and totally my vibe.
For food, I highly suggest you make a reservation at this restaurant called Sainis. It’s very small, “mom + pop” vibes.. and some of the best Greek food I had on the entire trip. Worth the wait outside, I promise.
For boat day, contact my friend Mike at Meltemi Watersports. He took us on a day trip around the island + its best swimming spots. He’s also the legend that was patient enough to help me get the underwater shots that went performed well on TikTok + Reels.
Hotel: Dionysos Seaside Resort in front of the famous, Mylopotas Beach.
